Apple iPad2

Apple made the iPad 2 thinner, lighter, and more powerful than the first-generation tablet. The iPad 2 also has front- and rear-facing cameras, which enable FaceTime video chat, and at least one high-profile launch app iPad 2 exclusive in iMovie.
While the iPad upgrades qualify as something more than a fresh coat of paint, the functional differences between the first generation iPad and iPad 2 are minimal. The iPad 2 is essentially the same device that reinvented the tablet market in 2010.
This time though, Apple does not have the luxury of setting the standard. Competition from Google in the form of Android Honeycomb has pushed tablets further in function with Flash support, widgets and slick 3D effects. Hardware makers like Motorola and Samsung have upped specs to near notebook levels, including screen resolutions approaching true HD.

NO Ads Showing on my Blog

Few days ago I noticed  my blog ads are not showing....So stress thinking how the hell my ads won't show anymore..So I make an Appeal for invalid click activity.. and after that day Googl
e adsense reply.

 I check all these support and i found out i got a problem with my PIN

I started on July 2011 on adsense 6 weeks i dint have any PIN..  hope at the end of this Month my PIN will be Mailed.

IRC bot for Android

Not so long time ago we found a very interesting piece of malware for Android. Unfortunately, it is not clear how it was spread but in any case it’s worth mentioning. The malicious application displays itself as ‘MADDEN NFL 12’ game after the installation.

The file size is over 5+ MB and actually is a Trojan that drops a set of malware components onto the system: root exploit, SMS Trojan and IRC bot. The .class file "AndroidBotAcitivity" maintains this dropper functionality. It creates a ‘/data/data/com.android.bot/files’ directory and sets ‘777’ permission (read/write/execute for all users). After that it extracts three files - ‘header01.png’ (root exploit), ‘footer01.png’ (IRC bot), ‘border01.png’ (SMS Trojan) - into this directory. Then it sets ‘777’ permission on the root exploit file and executes it. Finally, it displays the text ‘(0x14) Error - Not registred application’ on the screen.
If the exploit is executed successfully and the device is rooted, it launches the IRC bot ‘footer01.png’.
First of all, the IRC bot will try to delete ‘etc/sent’ using the ‘rm’ command:

After that it will set the owner (‘root’)/group (‘root’) of the ‘border01.png’ file using the ‘chown’ command and will set ‘644’ permission for the ‘border01.png’ file:

Then IRC bot will install ‘border01.png’ (SMS Trojan) using ‘pm install’ and launch it using ‘am start’:

This SMS Trojan is a modification of the Foncy SMS Trojan. We wrote about this malware family not so long ago. The Trojan hasn’t been modified much. It uses the getSimCountryIso method as well as previous versions in order to retrieve the country of the SIM card. Here is the list of countries with premium rate numbers:

And as in previous version Foncy will try to block all incoming messages from the premium rate numbers listed above using the abortBroadcast method. But there is one small difference between this particular version of Foncy and previous ones. This modification will upload all incoming messages from premium rate number to a remote server instead of sending an SMS message to cell phone number in the following format:

The IRC bot, after launching the SMS Trojan, will try to connect to IRC server 199.68.*.* (it was unavailable at the time of research) on channel ‘#andros’ with a random nickname. After that it is able to receive any shell commands from this server and execute them on an infected device.
This is first IRC bot for Android we’ve seen so far. And what is more interesting is that comes together with a root exploit and an SMS Trojan. They work together efficiently and the cybercriminal in this case has full access to an infected smartphone and can do anything he wants.
P.S. We detect all the malicious files as Trojan-Dropper.AndroidOS.Foncy.a, Exploit.Linux.Lotoor.ac, Backdoor.Linux.Foncy.a and Trojan-SMS.AndroidOS.Foncy.a.

Facebook Security Phishing Attack In The Wild

At the time of writing there is a new Facebook phishing attack going on. It will not just try to steal your Facebook credentials; it will also try to steal credit card information and other important information such as security questions.
This Facebook phishing attack is pretty interesting because it does not just try to trick the victim into visiting a phishing website. It will reuse the stolen information and login to the compromised account and change both profile picture and name. The profile picture will be changed to the Facebook logo and the name will be translated to “Facebook Security” but containing special ascii characters replacing letters such as “a” “k” “S” and “t”.
Once an account is compromised it will also send out a message to all contacts of the compromised account. The message looks like this:

"Last Warning: Your Facebook account will be turned off Because someone has reported you. Please do re-confirm your account security by: => http://apps-xxxx-xxxxx-user.de.vu
Thank you. The Facebook Team"/
When clicking on the link you will be redirected to a website which looks very similar to Facebook, and asks you for personal information such as: Name, Email, Password, Webmail system, Password to email etc. When submitting this form the details will be sent to the attacker, and they can automatically login to your Facebook account and compromise it.

After the victim submitted the information another webpage will appear, this page states that you need to confirm your identify with a payment and asks for your Card Number.

The last page of the phishing scam will try to confirm your Credit card information including CSC/CVV code.

These scams are just getting more popular and we really recommend not giving out personal information, especially not email, password and credit card information over social medias. It is also recommend that you contact your security vendor and the social media vendor if you encounter these sites.

PHILIPPINE MEMORY TEAM FINISH SECOND OVER-ALL AT WORLD 'OLYMPIC' MEMORY GAMES

GUANGZHOU, CHINA—THE Philippine Memory Team has completed a successful campaign at the conclusion of 20th World Memory Championship (WMC) here at the Mount River Resort Hotel in Guangzhou, China on Friday.
The Philippine Memory Team was composed of Johann Randall Abrina, Roberto Racasa, Christopher Carandang, Mark Anthony Castaneda, Axelyancy Cowan Tabernilla, Erwin Balines, Mark Anthony Adarlo, team manager and delegation head Aurelio “Reli”de Leon and head coach Almario Marlon Bernardino Jr. finished with a silver medal in the team competition.

“This is our early Christmas gift to the Filipino people worldwide. We hope this victory will unite all the Filipino and support the memory games,” said sportsman Aurelio “Reli” de Leon, team manager and delegation head of the Philippine Memory Team.
“This proves once again that the Filipino can be at par with the world’s best memory athletes. And with ample training and preparation, we can even become world champion. We believe that memory games is what the Filipino needs to have a better quality of education. And finally we are very optimistic that memory games will bring honor to our countries in future International competition,” added RP and US chess master Almario Marlon Bernardino Jr., head coach of the Philippine Memory Team.
Powerhouse China took home the gold medal in front of the home crowd while Mongolia captured the bronze medal in the event that includes the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Poland, Japan, Uzbekistan, South Africa, India, Hongkong, Singapore, Malaysia, Maldives and Indonesia with a total of 121 competitors.
Some of the stand-out results included:
– Johann Randall Abrina, the 29-year-old UP Sports Psychology graduate student from Barangay Wackwack in Mandaluyong bag the bronze medal in the Historical/Future Dates category.
– Mark Anthony Castaneda from Mandaluyong became first Filipino Grandmaster of Memory. The 23-year-old Rizal Technological University Mandaluyong BS ECE graduate student memorized a 1,140 digit numbers in an hour en route to his 1st grandmaster (GM) norm. He memorized a deck of card (equivalent to 52 playing cards) in 1 minute and 10 seconds in the speed card category for his 2nd GM norm. Castaneda memorized 13 deck of cards (equivalent to 676 playing cards) in an hour en route to his 3rd and final GM norm.
-Erwin Balines also from Mandaluyong City won 2 GM norms. The 23-year-old PUP-Manila BS ECE graduate student memorized a 1,380 digit numbers in an hour en route to his 1st grandmaster (GM) norm. He memorized a deck of card (equivalent to 52 playing cards) in 1 minute and 19 seconds in the speed card category for his 2nd GM norm.
